Monrovia Auto Repair

I have been taking my 9 year old Prius and my wife's 15 year old Subaru to Seiko's Auto Service since shortly after the Prius was no longer under warranty; before Seiko took on his partner, Cody, and long before they hired Sergio to handle the customer service and scheduling calls. They used to be my secret auto repair shop. You know, the kind of place where you can get a quick appointment for personalized quality automotive service at a competitive price. Well, I took my Prius in for regular servicing today and was surprised to find my quiet little auto shop had all four bays occupied, with another customer dropping off her later model Subaru ahead of me. Seiko's has been discovered! And why not? Although the price of parts and service has gone up (where have they not?), the service is still prompt and the repairs are completed accurately and ahead of time! I had my car back, even with a catalytic convertor security cover installed (take that, Prius CC thieves!) within 3 hours after Cody came back early from his lunch break in order to complete my car repairs. Why am I telling you all this? It's just going to make Seiko's better known and more in demand! If you have read this far, please disregard this review.

I had an oil change at a drive thru oil change place on Saturday before a drive down to the desert. Coming back on Sunday my check engine light came on as well as a couple of other warning lights. Seiko's place is close to my house and specializes in Japanese cars, so I took my ToyotaRav4 in to get it checked out. Sergio greeted me and had a technician scan the warning codes. They found it was caused by an air hose that wasn't properly connected, fixed it and topped off one of the fluids. It took about 10 minutes to find out the problem, and they said to call if I notice any problems - there was no charge for their services. I will definitely take my car there from now on - they were very nice, knowledgieable and efficient! Thank you!

Seiko's auto service was outstanding. Sergio personally walked me through the thought process of why repairs were recommended and the potential pitfalls of not performing repairs, and when I choose not to perform certain repairs I was not questioned as to why I did not choose. In addition, he pointed out that certain repairs were not necessary at this current time even though it was recommended by other mechanics. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a mechanic with integrity to consider Seiko's.
